Acceptable Use Policy
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the Autobillr platform operated by NeoForge Labs Limited. This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.
Autobillr provides powerful tools for automated communication with your Clients, including AI-generated chase messages sent via email, SMS, and WhatsApp. These capabilities come with responsibilities. This AUP exists to ensure that all users employ these tools ethically, legally, and in a manner that maintains the reputation and deliverability of the platform for all users.
2. General Principles
You must use Autobillr:
- Only for legitimate business purposes related to invoicing and payment collection for goods and services you have actually provided.
- In compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in both your jurisdiction and the jurisdictions where your Clients are located.
- In a manner that respects the rights and dignity of your Clients and Invoice Recipients.
- Honestly and in good faith.
3. Invoicing Standards
3.1 Permitted Use
You may use Autobillr to create and send invoices for: (a) goods and services you have legitimately provided; (b) milestone or progress billing for ongoing engagements; (c) recurring charges for ongoing services with established agreements; and (d) late fees only where established in a written contract and permitted by applicable law.
3.2 Prohibited Invoicing Practices
You must not use Autobillr to:
- Issue invoices for goods or services not provided or not agreed upon.
- Inflate invoice amounts beyond what was agreed or contracted.
- Create fake or fictitious invoices for any purpose, including tax fraud, money laundering, or wire fraud.
- Send invoices to individuals or businesses with whom you have no legitimate business relationship.
- Disguise marketing, sales, or solicitation as invoices.
- Issue duplicate invoices for the same goods or services to obtain double payment.
4. Chase Automation Standards
4.1 Responsible Use
When you enable Chase Automation, you represent and warrant that each invoice subject to Chase Automation is for goods or services genuinely provided, the payment terms are accurate, Client contact information is current, and you have not received a legitimate dispute notice without taking appropriate action.
4.2 Prohibited Chase Practices
You must not use Chase Automation to:
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or coerce any person.
- Continue chasing a legitimately disputed invoice without first attempting to resolve the dispute.
- Contact individuals who have explicitly told you to stop contacting them.
- Send chase communications outside of reasonable business hours in the Client's timezone.
- Use the Service as a debt collection tool after formal referral to a debt collection agency or legal proceedings.
- Send chase communications for invoices you know have been paid.
- Modify AI-generated messages to include threatening, abusive, defamatory, misleading, or illegal content.
4.3 SMS and WhatsApp Specific Rules
For SMS and WhatsApp communications, you must ensure appropriate consent, honour do-not-call registries and opt-out requests, and use these channels only for legitimate payment follow-up — not marketing or promotional content.
5. Contract and Data Upload Standards
When uploading contracts, you represent that you have the right to share them with Autobillr and that they do not contain information you are prohibited from sharing. When entering Client data, you must have a legitimate business relationship and keep information accurate.
6. Platform Integrity
